Alexandra Vintage supports Charlotte Pettley
Someone has caught our eye recently… Young designer, Charlotte Pettley, who will be showing off her work, alongside our own Alexandra Vintage collection at the upcoming ‘Here’s Heritage’ event in Reading (UK) this Saturday.
If you are not familiar with her work, Charlotte is a textiles designer and works mainly in digital and silk-screen printing – and as you can see from some of her work below, she adores showcasing the beautiful 1950’s style that we all know and love!
Here’s Heritage will see Charlotte showcasing her ‘Time for Tea’ collection, which was inspired by 1950s style table settings, with just a touch of Alice in Wonderland mystery.
Charlotte creates vintage-style products in an individual and contemporary way through the use of photography and digital manipulation. With one foot in the past and the other stepping into the future, she cleverly combines traditional textiles with computer technology.
Charlotte has exhibited at ‘New Designers 2011’ at The Business Design Centre in London and was nominated for the BCFA (British Contract Furnishing Association) Award, along with ‘Texprint 2011’ which has encouraged her to continue designing in her own inimitable style.
Appearing alongside Charlotte at Here’s Heritage, Alexandra Vintage will be exhibiting and selling vintage clothing, accessories for him and jewellery & accessories for her, some items of which are newly sourced and will be making a special preview appearance.
