What do we mean by vintage? Are your items genuine vintage?
Vintage tends to be items dating from 1920s up to early 1980s. We and our lovely Buyers take great care over what we pick and we don’t “quick pick” – every item we source is carefully chosen, researched and labelled as accurately as we possibly can giving you not only a great product but a bit of vintage knowledge too!

Vintage sizing is difficult to get right. How do I get the right size for me?
We totally understand! Measurements are taken with the garment laid flat and we try to give the modern day size (approx.), bust, waist, hips and length of every item where relevant and applicable. Refer to our Sizing & Condition Guide for further information.

Are we located in a shop or concession store?
Not at the moment but we never say never! You can browse Alexandra Vintage online, keep an eye out on our website Blog or follow us on Facebook and Twitter for details of when we’re involved in vintage fairs throughout the year.

Product Descriptions
Every item is carefully researched for both its era and style, however it is sometimes a hard job identifying the exact era. In this instance we will be clear with these items listed by referring to the item and its era as a “style” or “inspired” by piece. Vintage carries so much history – that is after all what vintage is – and we price accordingly to each of the items’ condition and quality.

What forms of payment do we accept?
Transactions are handled securely through PayPal – a fast, secure and efficient checkout. You do not need a PayPal account to make a purchase, just a credit or debit card. If for some reason you have a problem purchasing with through Alexandra Vintage online please contact us. We accept VISA, MasterCard and VISA Electron – we do not accept American Express I’m afraid.

If I order today how quickly will I receive my order?
We will of course always do our best to deliver in good time.

We offer the following postage & delivery options:

International Signed For Outside Europe (10 – 12 working days)  £10.00
International Signed For Within Europe (Up to 10 working days)  £8.00
UK Recorded Delivery (2 – 5 working days)  £4.00
UK Special Delivery (1 – 2 working days) £6.00

Please note: Although Alexandra Vintage honours fixed postage costs per order, the postage options we offer are in line with current postage tariffs and are based on variable rates, thus subject to change without prior notice. Heavy packages weighing more than 1.5kg will be subject to an additional postage charge. ‘Alexandra Vintage Bridal’ gowns are subject to increases in delivery costs due to the weight and style of packaging used. Postage increases will automatically be calculated upon checkout in addition to the postage option chosen. The UK Special Delivery option usually guarantees delivery within 1 – 2 days and will require a signature upon delivery of your parcel.

What if I order something and it is not suitable?
At Alexandra Vintage, we endeavour to do our best in making your shopping experience an enjoyable stress-free one. We provide accurate and detailed information for every product on offer by giving you clear sizing information, product descriptions and detailed photos. However, we do understand that buying online can be tricky at times! With that in mind, we offer FREE UK returns and will accept the return of any product from the ‘Alexandra’s Wardrobe’ range for refund, including ‘Alexandra Vintage Bridal’ (specific products apply only), within 7 days of purchase excluding: hosiery, accessories; beauty compacts, hair clips, hats, jewellery and any sale or promotional product.

I have seen something that I like but can’t find my size.
Please do contact us should this be the case. We are always out & about and would be happy to try to source something similar for you in your size. We of course can’t always promise we will find what you want but we will certainly try our hardest!

Is ordering online safe?
Yes absolutely. We use an extremely secure system called PayPal Pro which is a sophisticated payment gateway facilitating your payment securely and safely at all times. You don’t need a PayPal account to use it either! See above for methods of payment.

Can I order over the phone?
Yes, just phone our order line on 0844 693 2454 and speak to the team!

Our order line is open 6 days a week (Mon – Sat) from 9am – 8pm with your order details.

What countries to you ship to?
We ship Worldwide! Refer to our Delivery & Postage section for more information on fees and timescales.

How can I work out if the item will fit?
